Day 6 It’s getting hot out here

Day 6 Tahoe Vista to Lone Pine California 470km 9.5 hours
It was a long day today despite my resolve to shorten them. The smoke had cleared somewhat at Lake Tahoe so was able to get a few nice photos of Emerald Bay.

The “Tea House”

South of Tahoe the smoke was once again thick and annoying but the roads fantastic twisties.

By the time the smoke started clearing the roads straightened out and the temperature began to rise

A very stickered guard rail

By the time I reached Lone Pine it was 36 Degrees. I found a Hostel in town and paid $25 for a dorm style room.

I got great advice about getting food at the “Taco Truck”

Tomorrow Big Bear Lake

John & I were on a cruise and we spent a day in Ensenada. The people were lined up on shore purchasing their prescription drugs seems they were a lot cheaper there
