St. Albert Rider

Hello, I’m Dave and I’m a bike-a-holic. I will celebrate my 50th Birthday in 2013, but even BIGGER than that, I will be riding solo from St. Albert, Alberta to the very southern tip of South America in Argentina!!

I have been riding motorcycles since I was 16, and before that, skateboards and anything that would move me fast or through the air.
There was a long absence from riding during the child rearing years. This was due in large part to the fact that I didn’t want to risk serious injury while having the responsibility of young uns.

…but now the kids are grown ups and I can act like a child again.

In 2007 I bought my first motorcycle in over 20 years. It has taken me from St. Albert to Southern California with my riding bud Ian

and in 2008 Ian and I had an epic trip to Alaska.

St. Albert to Alaska

July 2010 brought an incredible 3 week 14,000km trip across Canada and the U.S.
To travel that distance in three weeks required many long days in the saddle but I was rewarded with some destinations that I would never have visited without the bike.

Cape Breton

New York City

My Nation’s Capital

So what’s next?

I created this web page so my fiends and family can follow my as I travel for 6 months from Alberta to Argentina in support of SCI Spinal Cord Injury research and rehabilitation. I hope you’ll join me on my adventure!!
